The "Cold" Sandwich
- From Maw Carey. She had
a little note written on her recipe card:
- A Tennessee wives tale predicts if you have this 3 times
a week, you can prevent the common cold.

- Preparation time: 5 minutes

- Ingredients / Preparation:
- 2 slices of whole wheat bread.
- A slice of a yellow raw onion.
- A healthy serving of horseradish.
- A slice of cheddar cheese.
- Brown mustard and a decoration of lettuce.
- * You can make this a 'warm' sandwich by toasting it in a
toaster oven or conventional oven before you add the lettuce.
