The "Cold" Sandwich
From Maw Carey. She had a little note written on her recipe card:
A Tennessee wives tale predicts if you have this 3 times a week, you can prevent the common cold.
 
Preparation time: 5 minutes
 
Ingredients / Preparation:
  • 2 slices of whole wheat bread.
  • A slice of a yellow raw onion.
  • A healthy serving of horseradish.
  • A slice of cheddar cheese.
  • Brown mustard and a decoration of lettuce.
  • * You can make this a 'warm' sandwich by toasting it in a toaster oven or conventional oven before you add the lettuce.
