Advertising Your Site
You can find a lot of free ways to advertise your site. Starting with submitting your URL to various search engines. There are a great number of Search Submission sites on the internet today. Some are free, others charge a modest to a substantial fee. So be careful what you sign up for. There are also Search Submission software packages, ranging from $25 and up. If you're going to be doing web design as a business, it might be a worth while investment to purchase one of these. But make sure it's a package that provides monthly or quarterly script updates to match the changes in the major search engines, or when new engines come on line. The one I like is called SubmitWolf by Trellian Software. Use webrings, and find similar sites and ask if the owner would be interested in a link exchange. There are also places where you can pay a small advertising fee to be part of a banner program. |
