Web Design Packages
- Small Business Designs:
- Every small business should have a web presence in today's
market. Few customers rely on print media to search for businesses
in their area. Today's customers conduct online searches and
visit a business before they pick up the phone or make a trip
to your location.
-
- What exactly do you need for a web presence?
- Many businesses will pay a small fee to advertise in a yellow
pages type search engine. Giving only basic information such
as Name, Address and a phone number. But savvy on-liners are
looking for more information to get an idea of what kind of business
you have. They want instant gratification from an online review.
So these phone book type blurbs may not be enough to get their
attention.
-
- The rule of thumb for any business is to keep your information
organized and concise. The typical small business should have
a minimum of 5 pages to advertise it's services online.
- Home Page - of course you want to start with your store front.
Your business name, a short description of your business, and
contact information, such as phone numbers and email.
- If your business is a physical store or restaurant, you want
to provide a location page with a map and directions.
- If your business is:
- A Restaurant,
- You may also want to give an example of your current menu.
And additional offerings such as carry out or delivery.
- And if you also offer catering, or provide space for private
parties, you may want to include another page to highlight these
services as well.
- A services organization, such as a Building Contractor,
- You'll want to describe your qualifications, previous work,
or testimonials from other customers.
- A Retail Store,
- you may have special products to describe and advertise.
- If your business offers monthly specials, or a calendar of
events, you may want to advertise those on their own page and
highlight these with a short link from your home page to this
more in depth description.
- Finally you should have a contact page listing all the methods
your customers can use to contact you. This is especially good
for those who want to receive email from customers or potential
customers. To alleviate spam to your email in-box, you can use
an email form. This helps your email spam filters narrow down
what's real mail from all the spam mail you may receive. It can
hide your real email address from spam bots, and require specific
information from customers to help you fill orders or respond
to inquiries.
